audio and picture
Is it possible to put both a picture and an audio clip on a flashcard? If so, how? I only seem to be able to get one or the other.

Hi Mandy,
Currently we can only place one or the other on a flashcard, so you are correct in that audio and image cannot occupy the same space at the same time.
Thanks,

Would imagine a fix to allow audio/ picture wouldn't be a super hard update to implement. Developers probably get a lot of update requests though. Need to get more people to post about this issue..

We would like to be able to build upon the capabilities of our flashcards in terms of the kinds of information they can store. It requires additional evaluation, and unfortunately I cannot provide an exact timeline of when something like this should be expected since there are a number of other popular suggestions we are working towards implementing.
For the time being, it might be advantageous to create two sets of flashcards with one incorporating audio and the other visuals. This way students can make attempts at both and determine which best suits their study style.
Best,
Katie
Thanks for your prompt response and what a brilliant idea! I plan to show my students today in class how to create cards. I'll just divide them up, with half the students creating visual cards and the other half creating audio cards - and they can all share the cards!
Hey, five stars for your suggestion!

I did not suggest this in my previous response but you might find some other useful ways of using STUDYBLUE in the classroom by reading through some of these teacher-authored articles that have been contributed to our blog. This one in particular will probably be most relevant to you with regards to language vocabulary.
Feel free to reach out to us whenever you need!
