Auto-save frequency?

Can you increase the frequency of how often the program auto saves your work?

  • Hi Shelly,

The system currently saves your work in time intervals as small as a few seconds up to a minute or two. It is not possible for a user to change this frequency. Are you having a problem with the autosave function?

    • Hey Richard,
I'm not having a problem per se, the system saves my work on average, when I notice it at least, every 4 minutes or so. I'd just like to increase the frequency of auto-saves.

I've had some issues where it can't save and it retries, but it ultimately is unable to do so and I lose a couple of cards each time that happens. This may not be a big deal to some, but I put a ton of information on most cards and it's frustrating to have to redo that.

I've been using study blue as my primary study tool this semester and have had this happen since I signed up (Feb 18 for the premium membership) about 6-7 times. I've gotten good at copy and pasting the information before I have to restart the page, but it's still a pain to have to do that. It would be nice to have some control over this, but if that is not possible would you be able to increase the frequency of auto-save?

      Thanks,
      Shelly

  • Hi Shelly,

I understand your frustration and am sorry for the inconvenience. We have had small server connectivity issues in the past where our server will disconnect, and the autosave function will stop working. It is good to hear you have been able to copy and paste your work out without too much trouble, this is what we recommend to users in that situation. We are working to resolve this issue but I would recommend you continue to monitor the autosave function when editing as you have been.

Thank you Shelly, both for simply using StudyBlue and for providing such great feedback. We really appreciate it.

    Best,

    Richard
