Does StudyBlue sync with Evernote?
I use Evernote to help me collect notes and other study materials – can I sync my Evernote account with StudyBlue to create notes and online flashcards?

SYNCING YOUR EVERNOTE AND STUDYBLUE ACCOUNTS:
Do you have an Evernote account already? Go to:
http://www.studyblue.com/hello/everno...
Need to create an Evernote account? Start here:
http://www.studyblue.com/hello/everno...
1. After reviewing the details of how the sync process works, click "Start Now". If you need to create a SB account, complete the registration form. If you have an existing SB account, click "Sign in." link in the upper right and proceed.
2. After completing details on your SB account, you'll be prompted to "Connect to Evernote". Go right ahead.
3. After authorizing the sync, you'll be greeted by a confirmation screen that the sync was successful with directions on what to do next.
4. You'll receive an email from StudyBlue outlining next steps.
Flashcards from Evernote Notes:
Beta note: After syncing Evernote Notes to StudyBlue, changes made to Notes in Evernote will not update in StudyBlue. We aim to include this functionality in a future release.
1. The Account Connection creates a new Evernote Stack named StudyBlue. In this Stack, you’ll see a Notebook for each class.
2. Drag your study materials to the appropriate Evernote Notebook. Files will sync with your StudyBlue classes automatically. (If your files don’t sync, use the “Sync with Evernote” button at the bottom of My Study Materials to manually sync).
3. Click on the title of a note, and select “retype as flashcards” from the VIEW AS menu in the upper left. Making flashcards from notes helps you focus on key concepts and allows you to review flashcards, quiz yourself, and share with friends.
Hope these help you get even just a little more organized - because when you succeed, we're happy. -

This might be a very worthwhile feature!
The biggest thing I was looking forward to in the Evernote sync, was the ability to access Studyblue when I'm not connected to the internet (by storing some of my notes in evernote so that they live on my computer, too). But this isn't possible now.
I think 2 way syncing could make this a "wow!" feature!

I'd just like to chip in; I'd really like the possibility of two-way syncing. If there were any way to make this possible in the future I'd be very grateful. :)

I have both a StudyBlue account and an Evernote account. It says that they are connected and on StudyBlue, it allows me to "sync". But it is NOT creating a new notebook on Evernote. Unsure what to do.

Hi Emily, I've sent this on to the engineer handling our evernote integration. I'll update you as soon as I have some more information.

Emily, are you referring to the "Elementary French" class? Our engineer says that it seems that this has been created in Evernote. Are you not able to see it at all?

I have an "Elementary French" note set up in Evernote before I got the StudyBlue. There isn't a notebook entitled "Study Blue" as it says there will be in the instructions. It did not create anything after I connected the two programs.

Yes, I got everything solved! I just created a new class with a general name and it worked. Having a previous notebook entitled "Elementary French" must have messed up the syncing or something.

Good to hear! Thanks for the response.

Doesn't work for me. I have logged in, and the notebook is created in my Evernote-account. But the notebook is empty, regardless of how many times I press the sync with Evernote button. It updates the last synced timestamp, but shows 0 files synced. How can I make it sync?
-
Te,
Just to clarify - you are trying to pull your Evernote notes into StudyBlue, correct?

The syncing with evernote doesn't work for some reason. It says they will sync but it just doesn't happen.

Syncing with evernote fails. -

Integrate the notes feature with Evernote, for example, have each class be a notebook then sync notes between studyblue and evernote. Possibly make this a StudyBlue+ feature.

Making flashcards isn't as seamless as I thought/think it should be. retyping/copying and pasting is way old school. I just wish studyblue would datamine my evernote and make its own flash cards.

Desi,
Thanks for the feedback on the Evernote sync feature. This is a new feature to the site and we are working to improve it in many ways. I will pass your suggestions along to the development team for consideration. Thanks!

My evernote trunk is missing. Cannot sync it. (I deleted the folders that were created). I revoked access in Evernote and tried to authorize it again to no avail. Please help! (Love StudyBlue!)

I love this feature so far!!
Sorry to say, the answer to your question is no. If you make changes in StudyBlue they will stay in StudyBlue. Glad you are loving it so far, and please let us know if there is anything else we can do to make the site more useful to you.

Why not?
Thanks for asking. The main reason is because this functionality was not part of the initial agreement between StudyBlue and Evernote.
This Evernote syncing feature is one we have been very excited about and we are learning more everyday about how Evernote users would like to be able to use our site. A two-way sync is something we will consider for the future.
Thanks for your post,
Linda
Thanks for the reply:) Thanks for the concern. Really hope to see this function!
