when notified of a new note or classmate on the classes page, that particular addition should be noted in someway so that it is clearly defined what is and is not new. When the new addition is viewed, the notice should be removed.

Amy,
When you scroll over the "Classes" menu at the top of the screen and select "Manage Classes" you will see a list of your classes displayed. To the right of the classes you will see a button that says "remove" and if you click that, your class will be moved to the "Past Classes" section.
Hope this answers your question,

CANT ADD CLASS.-
Anna,
Can you give me a few more details about this so I can help you add your class? Are you trying to change the class name or professor in an existing class? Or are you trying to add a new class? Are you getting any error messages and which browser are you using? If you get me a little more information I may be able to help you add your class.
Thanks, Linda. -

I am trying to add a new class: G207, aka Geology 207, aka Geology of the Pacific Northwest. My professor is Karen Carroll. I attend Portland Community College.
In the "Class Title" box, I type in "Geology of the Pacific Northwest". In the "Department" box, I type in "Geology". In the "Class Number" box, I select "Add New". In the Professor box, I select "add new". I click the teal "add" button. A warning comes up. It says: "Please fix the following errors:Please select a classPlease select a professor".
I'm co-enrolled with Portland State University, under a different email address. I've tried to add Bi 358 (Evolution, taught by Mitchell Cruzan) and I run into the same problem.
I can't select a class if it doesn't exist yet on studyblue! What do I do?
I'm using Safari version 4.1.2 to access study blue. I have problems accessing it with firefox, which would be my first choice.

Hello, I am a German user who tries SB for the first time. I can not figure out how to add classes correctly.
If I try to add a class there are four fields I have to think about. Class title, Department, Class No. and Professor.
Is it possible to create different class titles with in the same department?
E.g. I tried:
class title, department, class no, professor:
"Internettechnology", "Computersience", "SS11", "Mr.X";
"Computerhistory", "Computersience", "SS11", "Mr. Y";
"Mathematics A", "Computersience", "SS11", "Mr. Z";
In the Overview of my classes everything seems to be okay. But if I try to add some flashcards in "Computerhistory", it is added in "Mathematics A" and "Internettechnology" as well. So the flashcard is not added in a specific class with a specific title as I want to. Instead it is always added for the whole department. Please tell me if I made an error in reasoning or is it a true mistake?
Thank you very much!

How do I add a class? Error in reasoning?.-
Safran,
So, the way that you explained how you added the classes sounds correct. The cards should not have been added to all of your classes, but only in Computerhistory, as you indicated when you created the deck. Let me do some checking and see if there is a bug that is affecting you. Can you tell me what OS and browser you are using to access the site?

So,
I talked to one of the tech team members and the issue is that all three of your courses have the same course number. On our sure it is the number that makes the classes unique from each other. So, if you were to create two different classes - Computerhistory SS12, and Mathematics A SS13 - your materials will stay where you intended for them to be.
Thanks for your patience and let me know if this works.

is this all obsolete? where is this "classes" menu? at the top of which page? the home page?
I am not able to add a class nor even find functionality that suggests it's possible except for when I created my account. -

Hi Thomas,
When you create a Folder you will be given the option to connect it to a class, this is the new way to add yourself to a class.
Hope this helps!
Best,

But, as an instructor....how do your first create a class. It seems like most of these replies involve connecting to an already existing class. Thanks!

This has worked in the past, but now the dialogue box no longer pops up - it just creates a blank folder in my Backpack.
