To Edit a flashcard deck, select the deck you would like to update and from the right-hand “Actions” menu, select "Edit." Currently you can only edit flashcards that you have created.

I would love a way to edit and delete courses and flashcard sets! I made a typo, for instance, in my course title and was unable to edit it. I was forced to create a new course and the error still exists in the old one, which could be confusing for students.

Hi Max, you can't edit while you are studying but we are working on that improvement.

yipee!!! please please please let me know when this feature comes out. I agree it is such a pain to go back when editing. I have 200 flashcards on deck, my goodness! im going to blind before I find my errors.

Can I edit while I am studying. Its a real pain when I realize I made a mistake and I have to stop studying and go and fix the card. I then have to start all over

I have a question in a similar vein. I clicked the "re-type as flashcard" option so that I could have my outline and deck open in the same window. I made a few cards then saved and closed thinking I would be able to add more later in the same manner. As far as I can tell, you can only edit the deck in the normal edit mode, i.e. without the outline on the same page. Would it be possible to add this feature to the edit deck mode?

Kevin,
That's a good point. I will check with the tech team and see if there is a way to easily do this. If not, we'll definitely add it to our list of features to consider.
Thanks for the post.

I’m
liking this idea.
Since we can now copy/paste notes into flashcards, Alex Cruz (Facebook) noted that he should be able to review flashcards, and then later "add cards" by "connecting" a note to it and going into the split screen view where you can copy/paste.
At this time, you can not "re-enter" split screen view after you've made the deck (i believe).

Scott, We just had Kevin here ask a similar question/share this idea. I merged your comment in here to keep these ideas together.

So I can't type notes (like for a final)split-screen from multiple documents?
I have several documents I want to use, and I'd like to add notes to an existing set that I made. I'm very confused whether this is even possible.-
Summer,
This isn't possible as the site is designed right now. However, you could try opening the other docs in different browser tabs and doing it that way. It's not the best solution, but it should work.
Sorry for the extra work, and I will add your idea to our "good thoughts" list.

Hi Bill,
You can add new flashcards to your deck but they will be added at the end of the deck. Studying a flashcard deck defaults to a random order so it is added to the end of the deck but will appear randomly as long as you stick with the default settings.
Thanks,
Andrew-
But how do I add flashcards to my deck after having saved some of them? It would be helpful to create a few at each study session, but I creating a new deck when I go back to try to add.

When will you beable to edit the flashcards after you create the deck?

Hi Caitlin,
You can edit your flashcards after you create a deck, just select 'Edit' from the right column menu after you select your newly created deck.
Hope this helps!
Best,

I think it'd be great if there was a way to edit publicly viewable flashcards and then publish them as a new public set.

I agree with this- it would be very helpful!

It won't let me edit my flashcards, only add flashcards. Is there
Anyway to edit my cards? I need to add pictures and some more text. -

Hi, Matthew,
If these are flashcards you started to create yourself, as oppose to flashcards you added to your Backpack from another user, you should be able to edit them. Are all of the materials in this deck you are trying to edit of your own making?
If so, choose the flashcard deck you would like to edit (like you would if you were going to study them). You should see the option "Edit" on the right hand side of the page listed under "Actions".
You will be brought back to a page similar to the one seen when creating a new flashcard deck. From there, you will be able to add more text or images.
Hopefully the images above help you visualize the steps I am talking about. Let me know if you need further clarification on any of the above.
Best,

Hi, I'm trying to use StudyBlue from an Android platform (ASUS EEE Transformer) and when I click on Edit Deck from the Action menu, it will only let me edit the name of the deck, though I typed all of the cards in my deck. Is there someway I can edit my deck?
Thanks -

Hi, randigiddings,
Unfortunately, you are currently only able to create decks using your Android mobile device and we apologize for any inconvenience this causes. If you would like to edit them once you have created a new deck and saved it using your phone, you will need to do so using our computer web application.
Editing on the mobile device is something we are discussing incorporating into future updates and appreciate any additional feedback we receive from STUDYBLUE users regarding it. Let us know if you have any additional comments or questions.
Best,
