Images on Definition Part

First of, hello to all...

I must admit that this an application with such a potential to be even bigger than it is, but while I was making some flashcards, I found interesting to post this idea!

Well, it is like this... in flashcards, you have the ability to put images on the term side! In a future release, why not put the ability to put images on the definition part?

Sincerely,

  • Hello to you, Fábio!

Thank you for acknowledging the potential you see in our service. We really do plan to take things to a whole other level and we're glad you're on board for the ride.

In terms of adding an image to the 'Definition' side of flashcards, are you interested in creating flashcards with an image as both the 'Term' and 'Definition'? Or are you mostly wanting to study the image as a 'Definition' rather than 'Term'? If the latter, I do want to point out that we provide an option to study your flashcards by either the 'Term' or 'Definition' first. When studying a deck of flashcards, you will find this option along the upper left hand side of the screen where you can choose 'Term first' or 'Definition first'.

Choosing to study by the 'Definition first' would ultimately mean you could see the text portion of your flashcard first before the image. Does this make sense?

    Best,
    Katie
    • I definitely agree that we should be able to put a picture on the definition side of the card. For example, I have been using this site to study Jeopardy questions, and some of these questions require both a written paragraph and a picture in order to define the term. For example, it might say something like "The scientist seen here (referring to the picture) is known for his theory of evolution." Thus, the user would need to be able both to read the paragraph and also to see the picture BEFORE he/she sees the term side of the card. Does this make sense?

  • Hello Katie, nice to talk with you again...

Well I have to admit that I never used that option, but I saw quite a few times and it kind makes some sense, although it also makes sense that an Image is a Definition, and not a Term.

In any case, my suggestion continues to be adding an Image on both "term" and "definition" side, because for example, a person can use an image to define another image... I believe that's my point in viewing these things! And another reason that I metion already in this text is the fact that an Image is a Definition, not a Term ;)

    Cheers for all,
    Fábio Santos

    sad I’m sad, disappointed.
    hi,

I was really disappointed that I paid $80 for this service & I can't even put a definition on the flip side of a card. It would be great to just have the option when making the cards rather than having to change the option all the time while studying
