I love the fact that with Study Blue I am able to add pictures to my flashcard but I have a suggestion. I think ti would be awesome if people could put pictures in the definition side as well as the term side. This would be great for science or art classes to give people visual aid

1Thanks Che – this is something we've talked about off and on. Where do you think you'd be dragging/dropping from most, your hard drive or websites? Or both? Or maybe there's another scenario I'm not thinking of here. Anyhow, throw some details at us if you have the chance. Thanks again.- view 2 more comments

Monika Lynn November 09, 2011 22:16it would be very nice to be able to add pictures from within the program once you click on add picture... once this is initiated.... perhaps it go go out or link with a search so that when you select it it will just be added to your card.. no saving anyone just straight into the card.. that would be sweet...I am a Study+ member but since Im a pre med student it would be super super super... Can you copy and paste pictures from slides? I have images from powerpoints that I would like to use but I can't save them as pictures and it takes too much time. Also the ability to annotate flashcards, especially on ipad/iphone would be great

Meredith,
I just put both of your posts in one thread to keep them together. Thanks for the idea.

When you add a picture to a note you can't position where the picture is--it is automatically placed at the bottom of the page. Everything that is written after the picture is contained to a column that is to the right of the picture. Very annoying, although studyblue is awesome.

There should be an option to add pictures to the definition/answer side of the card.
Also, it would be extremely helpful to be able to do a screen shot, and paste a picture in from the clipboard, rather than have to upload it. This would be similar to the Mac program "Mental Case"

Allow us to upload photos from our iphone to study blue so that we can take pictures of diagrams in our notebooks and use them as images in our flashcards

Is there a way that a picture can be place in the definition area of a note card? If not, I highly recommend it.

Look at the mac program mental case. It's honestly just about perfect, but can't be used on windows computers. Make studyblue just like it and I'd be happy to pay $20 for it!
# Insert pictures using screenshots or copy/paste.
# double click to zoom on pictures
# allow formating (free movement of pictures/text) to make slides look better and be easier to use -

has the "drag and drop" capability actually been implemented? If so, I must be missing something, because I can't figure out how to do it. Please let me know. Thanks

Hi Jeff, I'm sorry to report this has not been implemented yet. I'm not sure why this idea was marked that way. Unfortunately, we haven't decided on a good way to do this. Cross-browser limitations and security issues make it difficult to drag and drop files or take screenshots online. A lot of it can be done via Flash, but it's a messy implementation. In any case, we haven't had time to prioritize this over a lot of the other work that's going on. It's still on our list though; we haven't forgotten about it.
