SB+ upgrade

I have been upgraded to SB+ today, which is upsetting because I can no longer make notes. I am extremely disappointed with this and am considering not using SB any more. But I am concerned that this "wonderful upgrade" to SB+ will induce a charge for money. What is the deal with this?

    Hi Amy,

    Did you receive the email I sent to your @kent.edu account from info@studyblue.com? I explained the reasoning behind a complimentary upgrade of your account to StudyBlue+ in the email. We definitely would not activate complimentary premium on your account to charge you without choice. Since you have never made the choice to offer payment information anyways, charging you would not be possible.

    I apologize for any confusion caused with regards to this situation. A premium offer was meant as a way of allowing you to discover more of what StudyBlue has to offer. Your StudyBlue+ is set to expire on June 30, 2012 but if you are still uncomfortable with having premium, I will cancel it immediately. Whether you keep it or not, you will not be charged.

    Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Yes, I received all of the information thus far.

    I do not agree that this SB+ "premium offer upgrade" is is "allowing me to discover more of what SB has to offer." I feel like the complete opposite is true. I am becoming increasingly frustrated and disappointed with SB due to notes disappearing.

    Please do cancel my SB+ upgrade as soon as possible.

      Hi Amy,

      I can understand your frustration and am sorry to hear that you have no interest in the new changes ahead, which include additional features, not just note creation disappearing. Was there a particular reason you preferred taking your notes on StudyBlue rather than any other note-taking application like Google docs or Microsoft Word? Do know that you are able to select 'Download as Origianl' for your notes, which will format them in their original HTML and allow you to copy, paste, and then make edits in a different program.

      I will go ahead and cancel your SB+ upgrade immediately.

      Taking notes on SB was just so easy and simple. Putting notes in my backpack along with the flashcards that I was creating made everything easy to access in one location. The way that the notes were set up was aesthetically pleasing, and was not complicated. I studied for a Psychology CLEP test this past summer using only StudyBlue. No other note taking system can compare to how much SB helped me this past summer.
